After 9 years, the user withdrew bitcoins that have risen in price by 110 times

An unknown person withdrew 272 BTC, which were bought in 2013 for $360 per 1 bitcoin. Now the price of cryptocurrency exceeds $40 thousand.

On April 21, 2022, an unknown person withdrew 272 BTC worth about $11.1 million. The cryptocurrency was bought in 2013 at a rate of about $360 per bitcoin. Over the past nine years, bitcoin has risen in price by more than 110 times, to the current level of about $40,000.

At the beginning of the month, three bitcoin wallets, which had remained dormant since 2009, became active. Unknown persons transferred 150 BTC in total in three equal transactions. 12 years ago, the cryptocurrency was worth almost nothing, it didn’t even have an official exchange rate, since there were no crypto exchanges. Now the value of 150 BTC is estimated at more than $6 million.

The movement of dormant bitcoins does not necessarily indicate their sale. The transaction only says that the digital coins were transferred from one address to another.

Bitcoin was created in 2009 by a programmer or group of developers under the pseudonym Satoshi Nakamoto. In May 2010, Laszlo Heinitz bought two pizzas for 10,000 BTC, currently valued at $430 million.
